Lyric Hood announces first solo release
Lyric Hood has announced her first solo EP, 'Nineteen/11:11'.
Joining her father Robert Hood as Floorplan in 2016 and subsequently releasing the 'Victorious' album, Lyric also remixed 'Never Grow Old' for the duo's 'Let the Church' EP.
On her solo debut, Lyric produces a house heater in the form of 'Nineteen' and closes the EP with thunderous techno on '11:11'.
Earlier this year Floorplan released EP, 'So Glad/I Feel Him Moving'.
ROBERT HOOD AND DAUGHTER LYRIC ANNOUNCE COLLABORATIVE FLOORPLAN ALBUM
Robert Hood has announced a new Floorplan album made with his daughter, Lyric Hood.
‘Victorious’, the second album under the Detroit producer’s gospel-influenced house alias, features a number of tracks co-produced by Lyric. Robert released a string of funkier, more melodic tracks as Floorplan in the late '90s. He revived the moniker in 2010, going on to release an album, ‘Paradise’, in 2013.
Hood has recently DJed together with Lyric at a number of events, including his performance at last year’s Dekmantel festival.
