Charlotte de Witte has claimed the No.1 spot in this year’s Alternative Top 100 DJs poll, Powered by Beatport. 

The Belgian techno star holds the top position for the second year in a row, after dethroning Carl Cox last year, who had previously held the No.1 spot every year since the poll launched in 2018. 

de Witte climbed a further nine spots in this year’s original Top 100 DJs poll, once again claiming the Highest Techno DJ Award.

Charlotte de Witte has confirmed plans to play a 10-hour all-night set early next year.

Scheduled for 5th February, the KNTXT event will mark de Witte's biggest ever arena show and will take place at Flanders Expo in her hometown of Ghent, Belgium. 

Speaking about the party, de Witte said: "One of the few things that kept me sane during the past 18 months was keeping up to date with new music that got released. It gave me purpose in a time where all certainties were lost.

Charlotte de Witte has released a new EP via her own KNTXT label.

Titled 'Asura', the EP is comprised of three tracks, which were all featured in her Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 in September. 

"With 'Asura' EP I'm trying to give you a little insight into my musical influences by going back to my roots," de Witte said. "We're speaking about a young Charlotte who, about 12 / 13 years ago, got indulged in the world of electronic music by going to her first underground clubs and raves.

After first playing the remix of the classic trance track in a number of live streams, de Witte and Sanguiliano, who got engaged last year, have released the record via Belgian label Diki Records today (13th).
