Berlin clubs and DJ Paul van Dyk launch legal action against city's dancing ban
A group of Berlin clubs and promoters have come together to launch legal proceedings against the city's latest indoor dancing ban.
The group of 11 clubs and promoters, which includes KitKatClub, Matrix, Club OST, Der Weiße Hase, among others, as well as DJ Paul van Dyk, submitted an appeal against the ban to Berlin's administrative court last week, with support from lawyer Niko Härting.

Berlin to ban dancing in nightclubs from 8th December
Dancing will be banned in Berlin clubs from Wednesday 8th December, it has been announced.
The Berlin Senate decision was confirmed today, following a ruling from the German government yesterday that clubs must close in states where the Covid-19 infection rate exceeds 350 new infections per 100,000 people. The current rate in Berlin is roughly 361.

Due to a new ruling, venues and nightclubs in the German capital will only be able to operate at half-capacity from Saturday, 27th November. It's the latest development in a rollercoaster few months for the city regulations-wise.
Berghain's new party, REEF, launches next month
Berlin party REEF will make its debut at Berghain next month.
The party, which was previously held at the now closed Griessmühle club until late 2019, was originally due to hold its first event at Berghain in April 2020, but it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The debut edition at Berghain will now go down on Friday, 19th November in the main Berghan space of the venue. REEF founder Darwin will be joined on the night by Batu, re:ni and fellow party resident Esposito.

Elon Musk throws 9000-person rave at Berlin Tesla Factory
Elon Musk recently threw a 9000 person launch party to open the new Tesla Gigafactory in Berlin.
The event reportedly had a festival element to it, featuring live music from techno DJs, as well as dance and some large-scale stage design to host the performances.
There was also a large-scale lighting set-up, as well as arcade games, giant balloon robot figures, arcade games,Tesla accelerator ride-alongs and a ferris wheel. You can get a feel for the festivities via one attendees' post, capturing the scene before it all officially started, on Twitter below.
