Skepta has collaborated with Manchester International Festival (MIF) to stage a series of phoneless events.

The events, entitled Dystopia987, were the creative efforts of Skepta, creative studio TEM, who specialise in emerging technologies, and playwright Dawn King.

Accessible via an abandoned warehouse in Manchester and taking place in railway arches, the events were designed to replicate a journey into a dystopian, phoneless future using a combination of digital and physical objects.

The Warehouse Project (WHP) has shared the full programme for its first season at its new home, Depot.

Running from the 20th September this year to the 1st January 2020, WHP will take over the 10,000 cap Mayfield site for 12 weeks of carefully curated line-ups.

Homoelectric has announced the line-up for its first festival, taking place later this year.

The queer party collective will take over Manchester's 10,000 capacity, Depot, on 9th November for the all-inclusive festival, Homobloc.

A crowdfunding campaign has been launched via GoFundMe for local Manchester DJ Will Tramp after he lost a vast amount of his valuable belongings in a burglary.

Amongst the lost items were his hard drives full of music, a number of old and rare records, his laptop and his passport which he required to travel to Croatia for last week's Love International, a gig he was forced to cancel.

Manchester City Football Club and Puma have unveiled the new 2019/20 season football kits.

Both the home and away kits pay homage to cultural aspects of the city's history, with the away strip inspired by famous Manchester clubbing institute, The Haçienda.

The club was the beating heart of Manchester's rave culture, founded in 1982 by New Order and the team behind Factory Records. The Haçienda closed its doors for good in 1997. 

The away kit is set on a black base with the shoulder featuring the famous yellow stripes, a tribute to the Ben Kelly designed club space.

The Warehouse Project (WHP) has released the first run of shows for its Autumn series after announcing its new 10,000 capacity venue, Depot. 

Having held its final season in Store Street last year, WHP's new home is a disused railway depot abandoned since 1960, and is being transformed into a multi-facetted venue, beginning with Manchester's Gay Pride in August before WHP takes over from 20th September to 23rd November.

Legendary Manchester party series The Warehouse Project has revealed its new home ahead of its 2019 season. 

After a final New Year's Day closing party at Store Street that featured the likes of The Black Madonna, Hunee b2b Daphni and Objekt, this year the Northern clubbing institution are preparing to settle in to a jaw-dropping new venue, The Depot.  

Five people have been left “critically ill” after Parklife festival due to high-strength ecstasy, leading police to issue a warning. 

The 'Skype' tablets are said to have around three times the dose of MDMA normally found in pills of this type, with tests showing 250-300mg present. 

During the event, which took place in Manchester's Heaton Park last weekend with around 80,000 people in attendance, drug awareness and testing charity The Loop posted a photo of the tablets to Twitter with a note to revellers after they had been linked to a series of welfare cases.
