Ibiza expects to be on the UK’s tourism green list from June, Spain's tourism minister has said.

Amnesia Ibiza has announced the line-up for its 18-hour closing party.

After becoming the first Ibiza superclub to confirm that it plans to host events this year, Amnesia has revealed the line-up for its mammoth closing party scheduled to take place on the 23rd October.

Pepe Roselló, the original founder and owner of much-loved Ibiza club Space, has said that the venue could return 'before 2022'.

Roselló hinted at plans to bring the club back in an interview with Ibiza-based publication Noudiari, but remained fairly vague about what form the new club might take, aside from revealing that he hoped it may be able to return before next year.

Ibiza will be able to "reopen safely" as of June, Spain's tourism minister says.

UK house music institution Defected is hosting a livestream event to raise money for the Ibiza Food Bank (IFB) charity. DJs including Danny Rampling, David Penn, Roger Sanchez and the Melon Bomb crew will be performing from various locations including the roof of Ibiza club EDEN and the famous Wild Corner in Hï Ibiza. Manu Gonzalez will stream with views of Dalt Villa in Ibiza town. 

The stream is part of Defected’s Press Play series that’s seen DJs like Folamour, Riva Starr, Monki and many more play varied sets on their Twitch channel. 

A vaccine passport for tourists to enter Spain — including Ibiza and the rest of the Balearic Islands — will be ready by June, the Spanish government has said.

Speaking at a press conference in Playa de Palma last Thursday (25th), Spain's tourism minister, Reyes Maroto, told reporters that a new coronavirus vaccination certificate "will replace current restrictions when it comes to travelling", and is expected to be ready by summer.

Disco Tees has launched a fundraiser for Argentinian DJ, Alfredo Fiorito.

In February, Alfredo Fiorito, known as ‘the father of the Balearic beat’ and a previous resident at Ibiza's Amnesia, launched a crowdfunding campaign after suffering a stroke and being left unable to work. The fundraiser has raised €30,155 to date.
