Once best-known for its pioneering part in new beat and techno, Netsky — aka Antwerp's Boris Daenen — has been flying the flag for the Belgium scene since bursting out of his home country in 2009 with his eponymous drum & bass debut album for Hospital Records. Following this up in 2012 with the domestic chart-topping '2', June saw the release on his new album called, you guessed it, '3'...

Hospitality In The Park — the UK's first ever drum & bass festival — is fast-approaching and we can barely contain our excitement! But it's a pretty basic fact that you can't have a festival without a festival site, so Hospital Records co-founder London Elektricity has been on the road in his 'Funbulance' with a mission to find the perfect location!
Given the world's biggest drum & bass festival Let It Roll just wrapped up for another year, we thought it highly appropriate to drop some d'n'b your way this morning.
Our premiere comes courtesy of Bedford's finest Turno, who switches up Jean Jacques Smoothie's '2 People' into an effortless liquid roller. Tara Busch's serene vocals float above energetic beats and a bassline that warms the soul, making this remix is the perfect pick-me-up for settling back into the Monday grind.
Drum & bass' Mancunian funnyman Dub Phizix has released 12 tracks for free!
Featuring collaborations with Skeptical, DRS, Xtrah, Chimpo and regular partner in crime Strategy, the collection is formed of exclusives made specifically for the producer's Fabriclive 84 compilation, which dropped in November last year.
Viper Recordings are about to drop their ‘Sound of Drum & Bass’ compilation. We’ll be live-streaming the launch party from a secret London location on 9th March.
To get you in the mood, we caught up with D&B duo, Six Blade to hear their top ten all-time tracks on Viper.

On Wednesday 9th March, the Viper Recordings crew will take over a secret London location for the Viper Recordings - Sound of Drum & Bass album launch party.
The event features 12 DJs and MCs who’ll be playing a back2back special, that will be broadcast live on DJ Mag TV.
The newest addition to the Shogun Audio stable is a producer who goes by the name Ed:it, who's been dipping his toes into the D&B waters since 2010.
Now stepping out on the renowned label with a new four-tracked EP, he showcases a knack for keeping things soulful yet gritty.
On the EP, Ed:it has said: ‘The whole EP really means a lot to me. It has new sounds moving forward as well as classic vibes that I’ll always want to utilise.’
Fabio & Grooverider, the drum & bass pairing whose sets at Rage were the catalyst for the birth of jungle/drum & bass in the early '90s, are to be presented with the Outstanding Contribution award at DJ Mag's Best Of British event on Wednesday 16th December.
With over 20 years experience behind the decks and an inspiration within the drum & bass world, Fabio & Grooverider have worked their way through UK dance music ranks.
From illegal raves to the world's biggest festivals, and Fabio's residency at seminal party Rage at Heaven, their DJ partnership is one of the most defining forces of the d&b scene.
Together they ran a legendary radio show first aired on Kiss FM and then Radio One, which went live with its final show in March 2012, putting an end to an incredible 14-year run.
“If you write drum & bass for the money, you're a fucking idiot,” claims Tom Green. Better known as Shogun Warrior, Rockwell, Green may speak bluntly but he's right to do so — and besides, his heart is in the right place. Never a particularly popular genre in the mainstream — too fast for some, too underground for the rest — drum & bass has only really emerged as a profitable venture since its recent adoption by pop (raising yet another argument of what actually counts as drum & bass).
