Scuffed Recordings launches new single series with Wager and 95Bones collab
Following a DJ Mag Best of British Awards nomination in 2021, the imprint opens the new year with a double-A banger

Scuffed Recordings has launched a new single series, Scuffed Bits, kicking off with a collaboration between label co-founder Wager and label regular 95Bones, 'Purple Hilt', which lands on 14th January 2022.
Comprising two mixes of the track — "East London Aerial' and '1315 Broadway' — the release spans broken, acid-tipped and snare-topped sounds nodding to dubstep, grime, electro, and future garage.
“Launching Scuffed Bits with a focus on single tracks means we’ll be able to put more music out from Scuffed friends and family without worrying if a track fits on to a full project. Releasing EPs is our bread and butter but we’re looking forward to having some fun releasing one-off singles on Bits," said Wager.
The first cut from the imprint this year, it follows a hugely successful 2021 for Scuffed which saw Ayesha's 'Ecstatic Descent' ranked in DJ Mag's top tracks of the year. Meanwhile, the label itself received a nomination in DJ Mag's annual Best of British Awards. Read DJ Mag's interview with Scuffed, and listen to a mix of tracks from its catalogue, here.
