German producer Paul van Dyk has released his latest album, ‘From Then On’. A deeply personal affair, the LP marks van Dyk’s return to production following a near death experience at A State of Trance whereby he fell from a high stage. Having spent a year in rehabilitation, the experience gave the Cream regular a greater insight into the beauty of life.
All of this is laid bare with some distinction on the LP. "Music has a distinct ability to take people away from their problems and relieve anxiety and stress, and this is the feeling we are trying to enhance with this new show concept," van Dyk said in a statement earlier this year. "This intensified experience of sights, sounds and sensations will be our next level of entertainment. Paired with music of my upcoming album From Then On , it’s going to be a celebration of trance, life and unity."
Full of emotion from start to finish, ‘From Then On’ is very much the sound of a producer at the top of his game.
Paul, it’s great to have you back!
